The Amazon Flex program was introduced in Sydney and Melbourne on January 2020. At the same time, they also open up opportunities for anyone living in the two cities to become an independent contractor or as a delivery driver for the company.
After a few weeks of accepting registration for the Flex program, it seems Amazon Australia is ready to employ its Flex drivers to deliver customer packages around the cities. The company started sending announcements via email to its delivery-partners to get ready to schedule their first block.
For Sydney, they began informing their registered Flex drivers to keep an eye out of the Amazon Mobile Delivery app installed on their phone from Friday, 7 February 2020 to reserve their very first delivery block.

Following are the emails received by Flex drivers in Sydney:
Hi,
Our delivery station Moorebank (DNS1) will start operating on Monday, February 2020. Look out for delivery blocks to reserve in the app from Friday, 7 February 2020. Even before then, you may see some test blocks available this week, which you can also accept.
Moorebank (DNS1) is located at 23 Centenary Ave, Moorebank NSW 2170, at the back of our fulfilment centre. When you get there, follow the signage to reach the pickup area and let our associates know if you have any questions.
We look forward to seeing you there!
If you have registered and are approved by Amazon Australia to deliver their packages via the Flex program, you should also receive an email as previously mentioned.
For those who haven’t registered, this is a new opportunity for you to earn more money on your terms by delivering e-commerce stuff. You only need a car and some other required docs. Read more about Amazon Flex, driver requirements, pay rate and more.
For existing delivery partners from other on-demand food delivery platforms such as Uber Eats or Menulog, you can make the Flex program a side job on a slow day because a delivery block is estimated to only take no more than four hours to complete.
